So… I guess you now know one of my pet peeves?  Yup, getting automatically added to a Facebook Group. I think that people don’t realize all of the amazing business growth opportunities that come with asking people to join a Group first.  Are you in this category?  Well, good news! I am going to share some benefits of asking permission before assuming everyone wants to be in your Facebook Group! Why create a Facebook Group when you already have a Facebook Business Page?   A private group can add value to a program or special product you have. When I get hired to coach or consult a person or a business, the first thing I do is go to any place where they could give me information about what they do.  Any place that they can promote the business or company, ie; Twitter, LinkedIn, blog/website… any and ALL Social Media profiles. The goal is for someone to be able to quickly identify what you do, what products you sell, and how they may get a hold of you if they need your product or your service.  Quick is KEY. We live in a very LOUD digital world where things move at lightening speed. People don’t like to have to search for something.  You can be intriguing, just don’t be secretive and leave people questioning what you do or who you are. Social Media can be tricky, however once you get the basics rules down growth is endless! Over and over and over I see this mistake being made on Social Media.  The mistake that could grow a companies following and their life. I share this from personal experience, watching and working with countless businesses.  It is usually the very first mistake I discuss when coaching and consulting.   When people start taking these simple actions, they are often blown away with the power they provide. A Pause When was the last time you unplugged from all social media? I recently took a trip to a women’s conference and told my social media community I was unplugged for the weekend. I tried really hard to stay off Facebook and Twitter. After the conference, I met my husband for a week in Maui. We are blessed to travel there often, so the need to run around seeing and doing is not quite as high; however, I had traveled over to the conference with a virus, and it made a come back for our romantic (not) week in Maui. I was a sniffling, coughing mess. I had started a private, 30-day challenge meditation group on Facebook, two weeks prior to the trip. So, I was in a Zen-like space. New biz gotcha’ overwhelmed? FIVE Simple Inexpensive Social Media Tips for you to DO Now ~ Tips that will save your pocket book,  your hiney and keep you moving forward. 1.  Acknowledge anyone that LIKES, follows, comments, shares, retweets, or pays any attention to you on any of your Social Media Platforms (unless they are scary, stalkers).  Reach out and engage with a ‘thank you.’  Follow them back, watch and learn from them.  Pay attention to ‘them.’  The more you acknowledge them, the more they will keep watching and acknowledging you. 2.
