Episode 22 – When Messy Sets In

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Thank you for listening to today’s episode of the Alaska Tracy Podcast! It is a MESSY week. Being creative is messy. Ideas float through my head all the time. Every 5 years, I change things up in my business and my life. The truth is, I thrive on change. The reality is we all do. Imagine a world of stagnation? How dull and boring it would be. So, how do we deal with the change in everyday life? How do we deal with the fast-paced world of Social Media where information is literally thrown our way all day, every day? How does one deal with creating a new career, business, family, or life? First, it is going to get MESSY. That is the reality. How we deal with the mess is another story. When messes set in, I want to crawl under the covers, eat sugar, and avoid all contact …

Episode 20 – Shift: What Happens When You Live a Heart Centered Life

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to Episode 20!! Thank you for being on the journey with me. When I started the Biz Vizion podcast, the goal was to record for three months and then launch my social media business course after that. Instead, I’ve had another shift in business and in life. As an entrepreneur for almost 15 years, one would think I would be used to these shifts. I still fall into “fear mode” when these shifts start, which is quickly followed by sleepless nights of excitement and visions of what’s to come next. My feet hit the floor and out comes the Vision Board, and the action steps begin for the next chapter!  Years ago, I asked the universe to guide me to a business that was forever stimulating, intriguing, helping others and pushing my brain skills. Be careful what you pray for — This business has forever changed me and my …

Bambinos Baby Food is a national natural, organic baby food company that ships 24 meals directly to parents’ doorsteps.  So yes, you can order if you live outside of Alaska!  The flavors are delicious.  I tried the salmon – it was like a creamy bisque, and I loved it. I loved it so much that I fed it to my husband for dinner! Guess what? He liked it too! The baby food is nutritionally focused to address allergies …

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Thank you for listening to this week’s Biz Vizion with Alaska Tracy, Episode 18. This week’s episode is created via Alaska Tracy’s Facebook Live. I have run into a few people in the community and also some of my newsletter subscribers who have told me they were confused with everything I have going on. So, a quick recap. Once a week on Alaska Tracy’s Facebook Business Page, I share a business, social media, or inspirational tip and tool. I am LIVE it is either on a Tuesday or Thursday morning and is promoted ahead of time.  So, you can join in LIVE and comment, share your thoughts, bring your questions and connect with others, or you can watch it later, as it is recorded. I then take the recording and put it on my The Alaska Tracy Tube Channel, and I promote it on my newsletter.  This is called ‘repurposing’ your content.  If you are a business …

Thank you for listening in this week to Episode 17.  Biz Vizion with Alaska Tracy continues to amaze me as the universe steadily provides astonishing connections in my direction.  In this week’s episode, I got to interview Nicholas ‘Nick’ Coriano from Connecticut.  Nick contacted and connected with me through Twitter. You can also watch this interview on Alaska Tracy’s YouTube channel: Alaska Tracy YouTube. Nick shares successes and mistakes throughout the interview.  He likes to remember them, share them and hopefully learn from them.  Nick is …

Episode 16 – Debbie Ashley – The Online Marketing Expert

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to this week’s episode with guest Debbie Ashley of Thrivoo Marketing! The Universe has guided me to do this podcast so that I may inspire and help you by inspiring and teaching.  Each week the Universe continues to send the perfect people my way to help you along your journey in business and life. With each episode, it is my goal to find people that are passionate about their life and share their journey with you. Their stories prove that anything is possible with a vision and steps, which means you can achieve your vision, too. Oftentimes, by hearing other’s stories, we are able to let go and trust that we, too, can have big, rich, meaningful lives… that we can take that Leap of Faith — whatever that looks like.  For some, it may be leaving a boring job and creating a thriving business; for others, it may be taking …

Episode 15 – Instagram Expert Sue B

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to this week’s episode with guest Sue B Zimmerman, Instagram Expert better known as Sue B. I have been following,  learning, and watching Sue B grow her business for the last four years.  Her story amazes me. She graduated with a degree in nutrition and has become a well-recognized, wildly successful social media and business consultant and speaker.  This is another testimonial proving that anything is possible when you apply a Vision, positive mindset, and oodles of hard work! Sue B’s first business was at the ripe, old age of 13, and she has gone on to create more than 18 businesses.  Her actions match her motto:  “Don’t stop until you get there.”  Sue B’s determination is infectious! Do you ever scroll through social media and find yourself comparing yourself to others? Maybe others in your industry or a similar industry?  Maybe wondering how they make it look so …

Episode 14 – Success and Wellness Coach Sally Thibault

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to this week’s episode with Sally Thibault.  It was an honor to interview Sally, all the way from Queensland, Australia. Sally and I met via Mari Smith’s social media coaching group back in 2012 in San Diego.  Another testimonial of the power of creating and growing relationships via social media. What a journey we both have had over the last 5 years, and a treasure to stay in touch and watch each other evolve. Sally is a Success and Wellness Coach, as well as a mentor, speaker, counselor, author, and trainer. She’s also extremely knowledgeable in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). As an author, she published two books: David’s Gift Asperger’s Life and Love and Tapping to Reclaim You.   It was fascinating to learn about Sally’s work and how she helps women to achieve success and create transformations in their lives while breaking through old, built-up patterns. I was ready to sign up! Who knows, Sally and I …

Episode 13 NYC Social Media Expert Erin Kim

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to this week’s episode! What a gift and honor to meet Erin Kim and interview her. Erin and I met at a mutual friend’s wedding four hours outside of Anchorage. It was an all-weekend wedding at a remote lodge, and Erin’s very first wedding and first trip to Alaska! Yup, her very first wedding she traveled all the way from NYC to a remote lodge in Alaska!  It was a cool, rainy weekend, and we had a blast! Social Media, is all about being social and creating relationships to enhance businesses and lives.  That weekend, especially,  was an opportunity to meet new people from all over the country, including a Grammy-award winning trumpeter!  I was reminded of the importance of the human connection without technology. WiFi was limited and conversations were flowing. As my husband and I were mingling with new friends, the conversation transitioned to Facebook, and many people …

Episode 12 Fear Holding you back?

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Listen to this week’s Biz Vizion with Alaska Tracy, featuring special guest Jeanette Gardiner with Seastar Strategies. I was a little stuck in fear when Jeanette started following me on Facebook and commenting on my business posts.  Why? Because we have very similar consulting businesses.   I have not had the best luck with other consultants or marketing companies in my community, and I was basing my contempt prior to investigation on this.  I went into “lack of abundance” mode.  What that looks like for me is fear of the unknown and mostly that someone else may get something that I think I deserve. Oh, that fear can be crippling.  Can you relate? It was several months before I allowed the fear to move on through me and started paying attention to Jeanette.  It was then that I learned why the universe wanted us to connect.  I don’t believe in coincidences and realized …

Episode 11 – Travel Tech with Chris Rauschnot

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Wow! What an action-packed Podcast this one is! Please click Subscribe to get your latest Biz Vizion with Alaska Tracy Episode or follow on iTunes. A few years ago, I met Chris Rauschnot through an influencer program.  I learned quite a bit about technology and got to hang with tech geeks, like Chris, that are filled with knowledge about the latest and greatest inventions available. Chris resides in Las Vegas, is a top influencer, a food and HuffPost blogger and social media consultant.  Chris has attended technology conventions for the last 17 years, which has rounded him out to be known as the Gadget Guy. I caught Chris on #TravelTuesday for our interview.  If you hashtag #TravelTuesday on Twitter, you will see discussions of all things tech and travel.  So it was appropriate that Chris packed 30 minutes full of tech/travel gadgets!  You can read more about these gadgets at mactrast.com.  My favorite tech …

Episode 10: Beginners Guide: To Podcasting with Dion Sekone-Fraser

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Are you curious about creating your own podcast?  My hope is that after listening to this interview, you will be more certain if podcasting is the right choice for you. Ten weeks into podcasting and the learning curve continues!  I dove head first into creating Biz Vizion with Alaska Tracy with no clue to what would be involved.  The goal: to create a following interested in the two online courses my team and I created, consisting of a 90-day goal with action steps for each week.  Because I have done vision boards for years, I knew the end results would far exceed my expectations.  This continues to be my experience.  Show up, learn all I can, share with my community and let go of the results. I got to Episode 3 and I panicked! I started comparing what I was doing with other podcasters… ones that had been podcasting for …

Episode 9 – Mental Toughness

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Mental Toughness or an easier softer way is this week’s topic. Life is funny. I can be moving along on life’s balance beam and BAM! My head starts chattering! I would love to tell you it always happens after a major life event, but that is not the case. Remember to read to the end and download your free offering for the week! This last time was right after a Spiritual Retreat! You would think that one’s head would be rested, relaxed, rejuvenated or something to that effect… I had the opposite! My head was riddled with fear, thoughts of what the heck I am doing and the list went on! What does one do when feelings seep into our minds wanting to take over our bodies and keep us stuck in a state paralysis? I remember hearing for the first time, “feelings are not facts” and wanting to throttle the person that said that to me as …

Episode 8 – The Art of Growing Your Database

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Hello everyone and thank you for listening in today.  I wanted to tell you how much I have appreciated you over the last 8 weeks.  I have learned so much about podcasting. When I started this podcast several people asked me what my goal was.  A few people told me it looked like a ton of work.  Several people have emailed me telling me they are learning so much each week.  Those are the emails I cling on to especially when doubt and fear jump into my brain. The original goal was to create a 90-day system and then launch one of the two online courses I have created.  The weekly outline looked something like this; Podcast, Blog, Facebook Live, and Newsletter.  I have remained on target with all of these except the Facebook Live.  I decided to create a private Biz Vizion Facebook Groupinstead.  Why not help those that want …

Episode 7 – The Gift of Inspiration with Author Roy Huff

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to Episode #7! There are statistics that say when starting a podcast, most don’t make it past Episode #7, so I am over the moon to be here, and I appreciate you listening! Stay tuned for Episode #8! Quick reminder, read to the end of these show notes to claim your free weekly gift. In Episode #5, I talked about growing your business and life using Twitter. If you missed that, you may want to listen after you finish this one. The reason I mention that is because Roy Huff contacted me via Twitter regarding a possibility of being on my podcast. Roy typed in key phrases and words to find people that are podcasting and blogging. He gets how to use social media to influence his business, life and help countless people along the way! In less than one week of connecting with Roy, he has introduced me to …

Episode 6 – Revealed By Land’s End Resort Episode

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

I had the privilege of interviewing Land’s End Resort Sales and Marketing Director Mike Dye. Remember to download Alaska Tracy’s Free Gift at the end of these show notes! To be perfectly honest, I was a little nervous about this interview as Land’s End is well known to Alaskans as being the go-to place when staying in Homer. Alaskans provide 50% of their business! Land’s End location is perfectly situated at the end of the Homer Spit. The views of the ocean and mountains are priceless. I was fortunate enough to capture this moonrise from our bedroom (photo above)! What a pleasant surprise it was when I met with Mike. I had asked him if he would talk about Land’s End Mission and Vision statements and share three to five secrets to Land’s End success. When I sat down to talk to Mike before our interview, I was in awe of what he told …

Episode 5 – Twitter – You’ve Heard Tweets, but what about Twitter Chatter?

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Welcome to this week’s Biz Vizion episode with special guest Zachary Jeans.  Zach is a Keynote Speaker, Independent Strategist, and Salesforce Ecosystem Influencer. He’s all about the chatter on Twitter and goes beyond the one-sided sharing. Today, we’ll chat about the impact and why it matters; plus, for those who stay tuned, there’s a FREE gift at the end! I was fortunate enough to meet Zach 5 or 6 years ago on a Twitter Chat called “Lead From Within” with Lolly Daskal.  Zach and I and a group of leaders met every week for a few years.  We formed business and personal relationships.  I also did business coaching with Lolly at one point!  These relationships have been instrumental in the growth of Alaska Tracy.  The group of leaders refer business to one another and, more importantly, help provide business support.  When I get stuck, am challenged or have a business question, I …

Episode 4 – Finding Your Purpose Part 3 with David Jensen

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

I am honored to have David Jensen of Alaska Pet-ography as my guest this week. Snafu – This was supposed to be Episode #3.  I hit a tech snag – so it is Episode #4. Remember to read to the end to be sure to claim your Free Gift of the week! David is a lifelong Alaskan who specializes in portraits of animal companions and their people. In 1989, he and his wife, Carol, created Alaska Pet-ography, which brought his specialty to life.  David has published two books: “It’s Important To Pause” and “When Age Has No Leash”  and will have two more books coming out later this year. David was kind enough to share his purpose and how it has inspired him in business and in life. I have known David for 15 plus years and knew bits and pieces of his story but had never heard his purpose.  His story has an impact that can move you …

Episode 3 – Three Tips To Skyrocket Your Social Media

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Thank you for joining this week’s Biz Vizion! I am thrilled that you are here! Stay tuned for your FREE Gift at the end of the show notes! Some people get their feet wet, but I, on the other hand, like to jump right in.  I have been known to dive into all things in life, including businesses without learning all the ins/outs, often wishing I had done more research.  I don’t regret my past because, hey, what’s a road trip without a detour, right? I am now able to share my “detours” with others and hopefully help them save time and money. Social Media is LOUD and can be overwhelming to any new business owner or anyone that may not have a marketing background. And contrary to popular belief, it does not have to take hours and hours of your time. Today I am sharing 3 basics to help …

Episode 2 – Will Your Purpose Sustain Life’s Challenges?

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Will your purpose get you through the tough times? The times when your head questions what you are doing, you lose a client, you stumble, fear approaches, or you feel stuck. These times will appear. My experience is if my purpose is not very strong when these times show up, I lose focus and often divert off course. My purpose or WHYmust be stronger than my head chatter! This week, I am sharing a short story about hitting a bump and fear setting.  Oh, the fear was overpowering and I wanted to throw in the towel on Podcasting!!! Guess, what? I got back up!  I get to share with you how my purpose keeps me moving forward! By sharing maybe you won’t make the same mistake. I met my new friend that I talk about in the Podcast via Twitter, so it seemed appropriate that this week your Free Gift is: Alaska …

Episode 1 – Finding Your Purpose & Alaska Tracy’s Intro

Posted on by Tracy in Podcasts | No Comments

Where do you begin? So, you have a fantastic idea for a business.  You are over the moon about it and start telling everyone about it, announcing it on Social Media, reserving the URL, creating a Facebook Page…the whole works.  Then a week later, you have a different idea, a different direction you want to go.  So… you start chasing that dream. Maybe this happens a few times. Guess what?  You are not alone.  Many people do this over and over until they find their true purpose… what actually will excite them for the long haul. Throughout the years, I have asked people if they know their life mission.  I have received an array of answers.  When I ask specifically if they are fulfilling their mission by doing what they love career-wise, I get one of two answers:  “yes” or “no”. The “no” people tell me they work so they …
