What comes to mind when you hear the word Humanize?

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary definition, it means “to make (someone or something) seem gentler, kinder, or more appealing to people.”

For years, businesses and organizations have been trying to brand and sell themselves or their products via print, radio, TV, websites, and digital marketing (social media), etc. These are all effective platforms for creating consumer awareness and ultimately growing a business.  But…

…what if you heard that your business could multiply simply by being gentler, kinder and more appealing to people? Being married to a ‘numbers’ guy, I would probably get, “What does that MEAN” and, “What are the numbers to support that statement?”

I have grown multiple businesses, my own included, by simply teaching people how to share their stories, lift others up (or promote others), engage in conversations, and then ask for their support. I have the numbers in my business to support the 80/20 rule.

Engage, converse, and promote others 80% of the time and 20% of the time promote your own business in a non-sales like way.
